MAPUSA: Police have registered a case against a man following a complaint alleging criminal trespass, damage to a worship structure and threats at Camarcazan, Mapusa.
According to the complaint lodged by Narayan Tatulo Naik, a resident of Camarcazan, the incident occurred on August 15 at around 7.30 pm in front of his residence.
The complainant alleged that the accused, Benedict John Arauzo, a resident of Camarcazan, Poddkair, Mapusa, who is reportedly involved in a property dispute with him, allegedly entered the complainant’s landed property and courtyard without permission.
The accused allegedly caused damage to a worship structure erected by the complainant in the courtyard and used allegedly filthy and objectionable language, which the complainant stated insulted his religious feelings.
The complaint further alleges that the accused threatened the complainant with dire consequences, including a threat to kill him.
The complaint was lodged on September 25 at around 2.56 pm. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Utkrantrao Desai.
