ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have registered a case following a complaint by a 47-year-old businesswoman alleging that three persons harassed and mentally tortured her daughter, allegedly leading her to commit suicide.
According to the complaint, the alleged harassment took place prior to August 13, 2026, in Anjuna, Bardez. The accused have been identified as Ganesh Lamani, 27, a commercial interior designer from Gadag, Karnataka; Gopal Lamani, 28, of Gadag; and Minakshi Lamani of Laxmeshwar, Gadag.
The complainant alleged that the accused acted with a common intention and subjected her daughter to harassment and mental torture, which allegedly drove her to take the extreme step.
The case was registered at Anjuna Police Station on September 26, 2026, at 10.24 pm. Police have booked the accused for allegedly abetting the commission of suicide.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Amir Taral of Anjuna Police Station.
