PANAJI: The AAP leaders today slammed BJP government for their “tiffin pe charcha” initiative accusing them of “teasing” common man whose lives have turned miserable with inflation.
They also said that while the government has no money to disburse the benefits of social welfare schemes, however, spends lakhs of rupees to hold chintan shibir in a five-star resort.
“BJP should hold their Chintan Shivir at Azad Maidan, why a five-star resort is needed.
The government does not have money to pay beneficiaries of Laadli Laxmi and Griha Adhar,” said Adv Amit Palekar.
He further slammed the BJP government for failing to get industries in Goa to generate employment.
They also staged a unique protest at Azad Maidan against the rising prices and the general inflation, demanding the government to bring down the prices and provide relief to the common man.
The people who gathered at Azad Maidan had “Pez” as a mark of protest.
