QUEPEM: The Adivasi Sangatna, Quepem felicitated 63 meritorious students of the community.
Prof. Dr. Sushila Sawant Mendes, Headmaster Ulhas Gaonkar and asst. Professor Seltan Gomes, were the guest at the special function organized oin Pope John XXIII High School, Quepem.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr Sushila Sawant Mendes stated that “Slavery of mind is more dangerous than Slavery of body.”
She further stated that Education is the tool to improve ourselves, which change thinking power and development of the personality, which is very important today, and it also to raise one’s family, community and the village at large.
She further stated that youth have a mind with great vision that can take them to a great height in the present situation because today, youth have a fearless mindset that they can utilize to come up in life.
In his speech, a guest of Honour Ulhas Gaonkar said that without confidence, we cannot go much forward, and for that, we have to be committed and dedicated in our work that is the only way to be successful in life.
Special Invitee Shelton Gomes also shared his experience while addressing the gathering.
Sangatna President welcomed the guest, while Bernard Menezes and Miss. Piedade Dias moderate the function and vote of Thanks given by Caitaon Carvalho
