New Delhi: Filmmaker Gauresh Savardekar’s AI animated short film THE VIRAL GOLD has been officially selected for the inaugural edition of the Abohar International Film Festival 2026, marking a notable milestone for the emerging filmmaker and AI driven animation.
Produced under Kohli Motion Pictures, the film has been included among the festival’s official selections celebrating independent cinema and new forms of storytelling. The festival is focused on showcasing creative work across contemporary filmmaking formats, including projects that explore the growing use of artificial intelligence in animation.
Following the official selection, Savardekar has also been invited to attend the festival’s award ceremony, where filmmakers, industry professionals, festival delegates and other nominees are expected to come together to celebrate the selected works.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, beginning at 10:30 am at Teachers’ Home, near Branch School in Abohar, Punjab.
