Team Goemkarponn CANACONA: Students of DPM’s Shree Mallikarjun & Shri Chetan Manju Desai College undertook a challenging trek to the remote Keri tribal settlement in Cotigao as part of an educational field visit organised by the Department of Sociology. The field visit was conducted under the academic paper Empowerment of Marginalised Groups. Sociology students trekked around 3.5 kilometres through dense forest, crossing streams, wooden bridges and slippery trails to reach the settlement. New Delhi: The Election Commission has removed the additional declaration linked to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) from the online Form 6 used for new voter enrolment in states where the revision exercise has been completed. The additional requirement was removed from the ECINET portal on Wednesday, following a decision taken by the full Commission on September 26. Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: All liquor outlets and premises permitted for the sale of liquor in packed bottles or for consumption will remain closed across Goa on Friday, October 2, on account of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. The Office of the Commissioner of Excise has issued the notification to all liquor licensees and the general public, directing that the concerned premises remain closed for the day. The closure will apply to establishments involved in the sale of liquor through packed bottles as well as those serving liquor for consumption.
