PANAJI:The Union Health Ministry has prepared a fact-sheet to guide front line workers and vaccinators on counselling pregnant women about the value and precautions of the Covid-19 vaccine so that they can make an informed decision. Although more than 90 per cent infected pregnant women recover without any need for hospitalisation, rapid deterioration in health may occur in a few and that might affect the foetus also, the document said. “It is, therefore, advised that a pregnant woman should take Covid-19 vaccine,” it said. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a couple jumped from the Mandovi bridge in Panaji was rescued by the local fishermen. According to eye witnesses, the girl jumped first from the bridge and later to save her the boy accompanying her jumped off the bridge to save her. On noticing the same, fisherman who were there on a small canoe rushed to the site and rescued the due. Soon after rescuing, the police officials reached the site and the couple was shifted to Goa Medical College (GMC). The reason is yet to be known.
