The federal anti-narcotics agency also recovered a huge quantity of drugs from the possession of the apprehended peddlers. The raids were part of a joint operation conducted by the officials of Maharashtra and Goa units of the NCB. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: In a major relief for the state government, the High Court of Bombay at Goa has reduced the award from Rs 119 crores to Rs 70 crores in the arbitration case with Reliance Power. In its application filed under section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, Reliance Infrastructure Limited has sought that the Court direct the State government to pay an amount of Rs 278.29 crore with interest totaling to Rs 292 crore, which it was awarded by the Arbitration Tribunal in its award on 16 February 2018. Goemkaponn Desk MARGAO: In a tragic incident, two senior citizens were brutally murdered at their residence at Ambaji in Fatorda. According to the Fatorda police the murder victims have been identified as Minguel Miranda (65) and his mother-in-law Catarina Pinto (85). The police revealed that the bodies were wrapped and dumped in backyard room. The forensic team has been called on the site for collecting pieces of information. The Fatorda police has informed that the motive of the murder is yet to be known and the hunt for the accused is on.
