Coconut tree, mango tree, jungle tree, banana tree and areca nut plantation were destroyed by the cyclone. Thunderstorm clouds are present over talukas of Dharbandora, Ponda, Bicholim, the nowcast adds. “Rain is likely to be accompanied with lightning and thunder and winds reaching speed of 25-30kmph. Clouds are likely to move in west-south west direction. Talukas of Mormugao, Salcette,Parts of Tiswadi,Pernem are also likely to experience thundershowers,” the nowcast adds.
