Upon credible information a narcotics raid was conducted by Canacona Police station at Galjibagh canacona in the morning of 5/12/2020. Narcotic substances such as LSD weighing 0.90 grams, Charas weighing 4.57 grams and Ganja weighing 7.74 grams all w/rs 4,25,000/- were seized from the possession of accused Tridip Nandy s/o tapan Kumar native of West Bengal. He has been arrested in the case. He came to Goa as a tourist one and half month back. He is a financial advisor a pvt company. Further investigation is in progress.

Goa police nabbed a Karnataka native for cheating a Curca resident to the tune of Rs 7,600 by creating a fake Facebook account of another girl from Curca. The accused, 20-year-old Kedar Hawal was arrested from Khanapur in Karnataka. Kedar allegedly created fake Facebook account of the girl from Curca and used the fake profile to induce one Chandesh Sawant from Curca to transfer money to the tune of Rs 7,600 into his account through Google pay and PhonePe apps. Panaji: President of India Ram Nath Kovind will be the chief guest for the inauguration of the cultural programmes for the 60th year of Goa Liberation. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said the president will inaugurate the programnes at Panjim Gymkhana, on December 19 this month.
