CANACONA: Ramesh Tawadkar, Canacona MLA and Goa Minister, led a BJP victory rally in the town to celebrate the party’s electoral victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry.
Addressing party workers outside Ravindra Bhavan, Tawadkar termed the West Bengal result as “astonishing,” saying it reflected the people’s mandate against what he described as years of “gunda raj.” He said the “Didi Hatao” campaign had been achieved and credited the BJP’s national leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for their role in the campaign.
He further expressed confidence that the BJP would continue to expand its footprint across the country, reiterating the party’s vision of strengthening governance from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
The rally, attended by party leaders, office-bearers and karyakartas, was flagged off following the address. It commenced from Chaudi and moved via Char-Rasta onto the Manohar Parrikar Canacona Bypass Road before concluding at Poinguinim, with participants raising slogans celebrating the victories.
Local BJP leaders, including Prabhakar Gaonkar, Savita Tawadkar, Mahesh (Govind) Naik and Estev Rodrigues, were present along with a large number of supporters.
