CURCHOREM: A road accident was reported near the fish market at Sanvordem Tisk on June 13, after a New Tata Bus allegedly hit an oncoming Mahindra Thar and fled the scene, causing damage to the SUV.
According to a complaint lodged by Head Constable Shrikant Velip (HC 6404) of Curchorem Police Station, the incident occurred at around 4.40 pm when the bus, driven by Sukhlal Muwel Mishri Lal, a resident of Tarapur in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, was proceeding from Sanvordem towards Curchorem.
It is alleged that the driver operated the bus in a rash and negligent manner and veered to the extreme right side of the road near Sanvordem Tisk fish market, resulting in a collision with the rear right side door and wheel of the Mahindra Thar.
Following the impact, the bus driver allegedly fled the accident spot without stopping. The collision caused damage to the SUV’s rear right wheel and door.
Curchorem Police have initiated further investigation into the incident, which is being handled by HC Shrikant Velip.
