CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have arrested 5 persons in connection with an assault and theft case at Calangute beach.
Vinod Chavan, Abhishek Rathod, Satish Rathod, all three natives of Karnataka, Prem Thapa, N/o Himachal Pradesh and Mohan Mondal, N/o West Bengal have been arrested.
As per information, the Calangute Police station received complaint from Vivek Naidu R/o Mumbai, Maharashtra stating that he along with his cousin brothers were assaulted by unknown culprit’s at Calangute Beach.
The accused also further the culprit’s snatched away mobile phone of the complainant.
During preliminary interrogation of accused persons disclosed that they had assaulted the complainant and had also snatched the mobile phone of the complainant from Calangute beach.
Hence registered an offence against the culprit’s. Further investigation is in progress.
