CHIMBEL: Two men have been booked for allegedly assaulting a 29-year-old man with a wooden stick and a chopper near Subhadra Bar at Gavant, Chimbel, in Tiswadi taluka.
According to the complaint lodged by Khutija, 57, wife of Hazarat Ali Hubballi and a resident of Indira Nagar, Chimbel, the incident occurred at around 2 pm on October 24.
The accused have been identified as Imran Hebballi, 35, and Dadapir Munafsab Hebballi, 26, both associated with Indira Nagar, Chimbel.
As per the complaint, the two accused allegedly acted with a common intention and assaulted the complainant’s son, Mansoor Hazarat Ali Hubballi, 29, using a wooden stick and a chopper. The victim sustained serious injuries to his head, both hands, legs and other parts of his body.
The complaint states that the alleged assault was motivated by previous enmity.
The police registered an offence at 11.30 pm on October 24. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Manohar Dhulapka.
