RAIA: A woman has been reported missing from her workplace at Bacbhat, Raia, following which a complaint raising suspicion of abduction by unknown persons has been lodged with the police.
According to the complaint, the woman, whose identity has been withheld, had been working as a full-time domestic help for the past seven to eight months at the residence of Adam Shaikh in Bacbhat, Raia.
The complainant, a resident of Rumbdamol, stated that on October 24, at around 7 am, he received a phone call from Shaikh’s wife informing him that his daughter had left the residence without informing anyone at approximately 6.30 am that morning.
The complainant subsequently searched for his daughter at the houses of relatives and other likely locations but was unable to trace her. Suspecting that she may have been abducted by unknown persons, he approached the police.
Further investigation into the case is being conducted by PSI Ashutosh Naik of the Maina Curtorim Police Station.
