CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have registered a case against a 37-year-old man for allegedly selling electronic cigarettes and allied products from a shop at Umtawado, Calangute.
The case was registered on June 15 following a state complaint by PSI Prajit Mandrekar of Calangute Police Station. The complaint stated that the accused, identified as Sanjay, was found selling electronic cigarettes and related products at a shop named “Smoking Corner, Hookah & More” near Ticlo Resort, Umtawado, between 8.30 pm and 10.05 pm.
Police seized electronic cigarettes and allied products worth approximately ₹35,500 during a search and seizure operation.
The accused was arrested on June 16 at around 12.08 am and was later released on the same day at 12.24 am.
Further investigation is in progress by PSI Prajit Mandrekar of Calangute Police Station.
