Canacona: In a heartening celebration of academic excellence, Adarsh Yuva Sangh, Gaondongrim-Khotigao, in collaboration with Shree Balram Education Society, felicitated the toppers and second-rank holders of the 2025 Goa Board SSC and HSSC Examinations from Canacona taluka.
The ceremony, held at Ravindra Bhavan, Canacona, honoured top-performing students from all 19 high schools and 5 higher secondary schools across the taluka. Among them was taluka SSC topper Miss Purva Fal Desai, who received special recognition.
The event also featured a guidance session on JEE and NEET preparations by Prof. Dnyaneshwar Mutkule, Founder and Managing Director of 1729 Acharya Academy, Pune, which recently opened a branch in Canacona. The session was attended by five students each from Std. VII to X, along with their parents.
Dignitaries present included Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar, along with Sarpanchas of Agonda, Shristhal, Poinguinim, and Loliem-Polem — Nilesh Pagui, Sejal Gaonkar, Savita Tawadkar, and Nisha Chari respectively. The leaders commended the students for their dedication and encouraged them to aim high in their future academic and professional pursuits.
The event underscored the community’s strong focus on education and the collective support extended to its youth.
