Panaji: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP-Goa) will launch District outreach program “Avaz Tumcho, Sangat Amcho” seeking suggestions and the issues to be raised during assembly sessions and other platforms.
Addressing a press conference, CLP leader Yuri Alemao, Aldona MLA Adv. Carlos Ferreira and Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa were present.
“Through this initiative we are inviting people to share their suggestions and ideas on pressing issues facing their village, town and the state. As part of our “Avaz Tumcho, Sangat Amcho” initiative, we aim to engage with the people of Goa and bring their concerns to the Assembly session and other platforms,” Alemao said.
“Today the biggest worry among our Goemkars is the destruction which is taking place in the state, our environment is suffering over hill cuttings and our youths are also suffering over unemployment issue. This Government has failed to address these issues and hence people are agitated,” Alemao said.
Carlos Ferreira said that assembly session is the right platform to raise the issues of public, which can be debated and give justice to community.
“Whatever suggestions and issues we get from this outreach program, we will discuss and unitedly raise it in the assembly session,” Ferreira said.
Altone D’Costa said that across Goa people can been seen agitating against the unwanted projects of the government, which are imposed without taking people into confidence.
“We are with of Goa and will raise their issues, which they will tell us,” Altone Dcosta said.
