Farmagudi – With mounting opposition ti the development projects in the State, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today sought help
from engineering students to tackle “anti-development” lobby.
The Chief Minister urgwd the engineering students at Goa Engineering College to help State in countering propaganda against developmental projects.
‘You can help to do this through social and electronic media platforms,” he said.
He said that being engineers the students know the realistic situation of power in Goa.
“We expect that facts should be placed before the people who do not have any real information about the project. We expect these comments from you on issues related to the Tamnar, rail and road projects or IIT,” said CM.
Sawant also asked students to come up with innovative solutions for real life problems.
He said that provision for financial assistance of upto Rs 20 lakh will be made in the state budget for student innovators who would volunteer to research any real life problem for the government and come up with solution for the same.
