CALANGUTE: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has expressed confidence in securing the BJP ticket for the 2027 Goa Assembly elections, declaring, “I will get the BJP ticket,” while maintaining a cordial stance towards his political rivals.
Reacting to Roshan Redkar’s announcement of his intention to contest from Calangute, Lobo wished all his opponents the best, saying they were his friends and not enemies. He described the upcoming election as a political race rather than a personal battle.
Responding to Redkar’s challenge for a one-on-one debate involving him and his wife, Delilah Lobo, the MLA said the discussion should ideally be with someone of comparable political stature, preferably a former MLA from the constituency.
Lobo noted that Redkar had expressed his desire to contest the elections, adding that a debate on development and politics could be held once the party tickets are finalised.
