MAPUSA: Colvale police have arrested one accused person involved in cheating case who was absconding since last one month.
A complaint was lodged by Ms. Sangeeta Kandolkar R/o Bardez that one accused person by name Mr. Amar Mandrekar N/o Parye, Sattari had approached her saying he is having high profile contacts in present government and that he can help her securing a government job through his contacts.
As such accused promised the complainant a job for her neife and informed that she will have to pay Rs. 3,00,000/- for the job. He further took Rs. 20,0000/- cash in advance and after that remained not reachable.
Further the complainant came to know and filed a complaint on 08/12/2023. Upon knowing that an FIR is lodged against him at Colvale police station and the accused remained absconded.
Colvale police finally nabbed him on Wednesday and placed him under arrest under sections 419, 420 IPC.
SDPO jivba Dalvi added that accused is remanded to 03 days police custody.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Bharat Kharat under the supervision of PI Vijay Rane , SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan IPS.
