MARGAO: The South Goa District Congress Committee submitted a memorandum to the President of India through the South Goa District Collector at the South Goa District Collectorate, Margao over vaccine pricing.
The South Goa District Congress President Joseph Dias was accompanied by former Power Minister Alexio Sequeira, GPCC Gen. Sec. Subhash Faldesai, SGDCC VP Deepak Kharangate, Zacharias Goes, Adv. Yemane D’Souza, Former MMC Councilor Avinash Shirodkar, SGDCC Secretary Shivani Pagi and Executive Member Floriano Colaco.
The SGDCC President Joseph Dias stated that the present Government introduced GST with the slogan “One Nation One Tax” but have failed to fix one price for the Vaccine.
He also stated that under the Congress the government had successfully implemented various vaccinations under the National Vaccination Policy where by millions of people were being vaccines on a single day across the nation.
The Congress party believes that it is important to vaccinate every single individual in the country against the deadly Corona Virus and as such it is necessary to ensure free universal vaccination and end the profiteering which is being encouraged by the Government.
former Power Minister Alexio Sequeira also reiterated the statement of the District Congress President and added that the constitution provides every individual the right to life and, free universal vaccination is the only way to protect this constitutional mandate.
