Panaji: Congress on Wednesday thanked Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude for exposing corruption done by BJP government over Atal Setu bridge.
Referring to the statement of Gaude that why only he is being targeted when corruption in Atal Setu Bridge and other projects have taken place, Congress Media Chief Amarnath Panajikar said that courage of former should be apreciated.
“Many keep mum even when they see corruption taking place in their government. But Govind Gaude has set an example that how ruling MLAs can expose own government and help democracy to run in transparent way. We have seen the fighting spirit of Gaude in this matter and appeal him to continue the same,” Panajikar said.
Panajikar said that Govind Gaude has spoken truth about Atal setu Scam. “Time and again we had said that Atal Setu is the Monument of Corruption done under Former CM Manohar Parrikar. Former GPCC chief Girish Chodankar had exposed this Scam with evidence. However, BJP had failed to book corrupts and hail its own mantra zero tolerance to corruption.” Panajikar said.
“Gaude is correct. Why people should speak about corruption taken place only in renovation of Kala Academy. There are such corruption happened in many departments. I once again thanks Gaude for exposing this corrupt and insensitive government,” he said.
