PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the Congress in Goa has no faith in its candidates and that is the reason it was making baseless allegations of phone tapping.
CM Sawant was reacting to the opposition over the phone tapping charges.
“Allegations levelled by the Goa Congress unit are an effort to divert the attention of the people it is a “drama”.
He further said that he Congress appears to have no faith in their candidates, which is compelling them to create drama to divert the attention of the people.
“Rather than making frivolous allegations, the Goa Congress president needs to focus on taming his own candidates on whom he has no control” he said
Sawant also exuded confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would win this year’s assembly elections.
“With the blessings of the people, the BJP will get a clear mandate to form the next government in Goa,” the CM said
