MOPA: Directorate of Civil Aviation has issued an order permitting controlled access through the old airport gate used before the operationalisation of NH166S at Manohar International Airport.
As per the order dated May 5, 2026, access through the route will now be restricted primarily to government vehicles, airport staff carrying valid identity cards, villagers requiring access to the police station and emergency situations.
The order stated that several key airport facilities are connected through this route, including the fuel farm, cargo facility, CISF barracks, catering unit, ATC tower and technical building.
The move is aimed at ensuring smooth access to essential airport infrastructure while maintaining regulated entry through the old gate route.
