VASCO: Congress party minority cell head Nazir Khan expressed his confidence that Curtorim MLA Alexio Reginaldo’s exit from the Congress party will not affect the party.
Khan claimed that Curtorim constituency people will teach Reginaldo a lesson for this assembly election, and more prominent persons from the minority will join the Congress party in large numbers sooner.
After the shocking exit of Curtorim Congress MLA Alexio Reginaldo Lourenco yesterday, the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee and the party are in total denial that Regialdo’s exit from the party will affect the party in any way during the assembly election.
On similar lines, the Congress party’s minority head, Nazir Khan from Vasco, said that the Congress party is the big political party and someone leaving the party really doesn’t affect.
He further added that those senior leaders from Congress who have left the party for personal gains and for power will be affected during this election. Soon, many minority people, leaders will join the Congress party. Congress is the party which can give good governance to the people of Goa,” Khan said.
Commenting on Lorenco’s exit from the Congress party, Khan said that the people of Curtorim will teach him a lesson this election.
When questioned whether any party MLAs’ are in touch with the Congress party, he replied in affirmative and said that several BJP leaders, MLAs are in touch with the GPCC and likely to join Congress soon.
