MARGAO: A 38-year-old resident of Davorlim, identified as Parshuram Talwar, died following a road accident that occurred in the early hours of Monday near the Margao railway station.
Police said the accident took place at around 1:15 am on November 3, when a Yamaha motorcycle and an Aviator scooter collided in front of the railway station. Talwar, who was riding the Aviator, sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim for treatment.
However, he succumbed to his injuries around 10:00 am while undergoing treatment.
An inquest panchanama was conducted, and a post-mortem confirmed that the cause of death was head injury with multiple bone fractures. The deceased’s body was handed over to his family for final rites.
Margao Town Police have registered a case of motor vehicle accident, and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Sanjay Velip.
