PANAJI: The “Enough is Enough” movement has announced that its proposed Goa Statehood Day public meeting on May 30, 2026, will now be held virtually after the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) withdrew permission for the physical event at Azad Maidan.
According to a press note issued by the movement, the virtual meeting will feature prominent speakers, including former Justice Ferdino Rebello, who will address issues related to Goa’s governance, environment, public policy and matters of public interest.
The movement stated that the CCP, through a communication dated May 25, cancelled the permission that had earlier been granted on May 21, citing a government exhibition scheduled at Azad Maidan to mark Goa Statehood Day celebrations.
Following an emergency core committee meeting held on May 26 evening, members unanimously decided to continue with the programme in an online format. The organisers said the meeting link will be shared shortly with Goans in the state and across the world.
The movement has appealed to Goans globally to participate in large numbers and show collective support for Goa’s future and public causes.
