PORVORIM: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai today said that it’s appalling to see the embarrassing unpreparedness, lack of coordination between departments, in tackling fires that destroyed huge tracts of our forests.
“It’s appalling to see the embarrassing unpreparedness, lack of coordination between departments, and the complete helplessness of the ministry, in tackling fires that destroyed huge tracts of our forests,” said Vijai.
He further said that even the official data on these fires do not match! The Govt of Goa is totally lost.
“These fires being man-made, I asked for firm assurance from the minister that these burnt out land will not be conveniently converted to favour land mafias,” he added.
