PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that shack related issues will be resolved within two days.
Sawant was speaking to the media on the sidelines of a government program.
“There some small issues pertaining to environment ministry and tourism ministry. All will be taken on board and issue will be resolved within two days,” said Sawant
Sawant also assured to reallocate shacks on Calangute and Candolim beaches and also agreed to revert the total number of shacks to eight on Ozran beach.
The GCZMA has already granted its approval to erect 254 shacks along the beaches of North Goa and 105 shacks along the beaches of South Goa.
Even as the tourism season has already begun, officials of the tourism and environment departments have failed to finalise a plan and demarcate shack areas on beaches as well as delayed a process of allocation of shacks.
Though the government has notified the new Goa state beach shack policy 2023-26, issues pertaining to the shack allotment have been still cropping up every passing day.
