PANAJI: In order to restrict the number of people who can receive financial aid under the Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS), the State government has established a restriction of 1.4 lakh beneficiaries.
According to a notification sent out on December 26, a waiting list will be established on a first-come, first-served basis if the number of applicants surpasses the cap.
The maximum number of beneficiaries under this program is 1,40,000. A waiting list will be established if applications exceed this cap, with priority assigned based on receipt order, the letter said.
Applicants must earn no more than Rs 1.50 lakh per year as a family. Widows without children who qualify for the program would receive Rs 2,500 per month in financial help.
The monthly allowance for widows whose youngest kid is younger than 21 is Rs 4,000. Widows who have children older than 21 or older than 60 are eligible to get Rs 2,500 each month.
Widows who qualify for financial aid under the Dayanand Social Security Scheme would not be able to receive benefits under the Griha Aadhar Scheme, according to the notification.
