PANAJI:Notwithstanding to the growing demand from tourist taxi operators over its closer, the GoaMiles owner parashar today stood firm to continue the operation of the app based taxi service in the State, which according to him has been appreciated by MORTH Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Parashar, also took on Minister Michael Lobo, stating that his repeated attack against GoaMiles, is only to please the taxi operators, ahead of elections, they being his voters. He also recalled that Lobo and Minister Nilesh Cabral was part of the meeting called by then CM Parrikar to grant approavl to GoaMiles.
“When we won the bid for Goa Miles, Both Micheal Lobo and Nilesh Cabral were called upon by late Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and at that time they both did not have any issue,” said Khot
He said that Goa Miles will not shut operations at any cost and Micheal was only making such statments agaisnt Goa Miles just to please the taxi operators.
“Goa Miles service is appreacited by MORTH Minister Nitin Gadkari, if all the taxis are fitted with meters then there will be no clashes.
It can be recalled that BJP Calangute MLA and Minister Micheal Lobo today morning had criticised late Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for taking decision to start app based taxi service Goa Miles claiming that it is affecting local taxi operators.
