MORMUGAO: Three persons have been arrested in the alleged murder of Odisha native fish trawler worker Padmalochan Salima.
The 3 accused are identified as 38-year-old Ravi Ambig from Karnataka, 27-year-old Sanjay Yadav from Chhattisgarh and 21-year-old Tarun Hamakul from Odisha.
Padmalochan’s had gone missing since Jan 8 after he went fishing in deep sea with 31 other crew members.
His body was found in semi decomposed state at Vasco. His autopsy report had pointed out that he died due to a wound on the chest caused by a blunt object.
The trawler had ventured for fishing in the deep sea with 32 crew members comprising 2 Tandel, 1 Mastman and 29 crew, from the Malim Jetty.
Harbour Coastal Police on Friday had registered an offence of murder under Sections 302, 201 IPC and further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Pradeep Velip of Harbour Coastal Police.
