MAPUSA: Mapusa police have arrested one person from Bijapur, Karnataka, for kidnapping and sexual abuse of a minor girl.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, on 10.06.2023 Mother of the victim girl lodged her complaint to the effect that on 10.06.2023, the accused person Mr Nagesh @ Sanju Lalsab Kolakar, aged 23 years R/o Mapusa, Bardez, N/o Bijapur, Karnataka kidnapped the complainant’s Minor daughter aged 14 years and kept her in the secret place.
Mapusa Police Station registered an FIR under sections 363 IPC and Sec 8 of the Goa Children’s Act.
Further, during the course of the investigation, staff led by PSI Bablo Parab of Mapusa Police Station visited Etagi, Karnataka and after hectic efforts and after developing the information through sources, apprehended the accused person with the victim girl at Etagi, Bijapur, Karnataka further, and escorted them to Mapusa Police Station.
The accused was arrested on 15.06.2023 and remanded in 04 days of Police Custody by JMFC, Mapusa.
The victim girl is medically examined at GMC, Bambolim, and as sexual abuse has been revealed POCSO act has also been added to the crime.
Further Investigation is in progress with LPSI Reecha Bhonsle under the supervision of SP North Nidhin Valsan and SDPO Mapusa Dalvi, and PI Mapusa Sitakant Nayak.
