MAPUSA: Colvale police have registered an FIR against an under-trial prisoner for trying to escape the Colvale Jail.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi on 08/06/2023, Mukund Gawas, Jailor, Central jail Colvale Bardez Goa lodged a complaint to the effect that on 07/06/2023 at about 15:10 hrs at Central Jail Colvale Bardez Goa, when prisoners, were moved out for fresh air and free movement in new admission block, accused person namely Pradeep Khalko made an attempt of escape by climbing inner compound wall of new admission block by taking support of ground floor roof and support of gate.
He is an under trial accused remanded to Central Jail Colvale on 05/06/2023 by the JMFC Sanguem in Crime No 05/2023 of RPF Vasco,
Also in view of recent events, Addl. IG of Prisons Shetye, SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and PI Colvale, along with staff, variates the Jail and direct the prisoners to follow discipline as per the Jail manual.
