PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that his department is in process of opening more Jan Aushadi Kendra’s in Goa.
“I am inspired by our PM’s vision of making affordable medicines accessible to all. In alignment with this dream, I have taken steps to ensure that such shops are operational in Goa,” sad Rane.
Furthermore, Rane said tha plans are underway to open more of these shops in the near future. This initiative reflects a commitment to realizing the Prime Minister’s vision and enhancing healthcare accessibility for the people of Goa.
He said that these shops provide affordable, high-quality medicines with an 80-90% discount. With about 2000 types of medicines, the initiative aims to enhance healthcare accessibility nationwide, planning to establish 25,000 such shops.
Rane said that In a forward-thinking program, PM Modi announced that 15,000 drones will be distributed to Women Self Help Groups (SHGs), empowering them to use this technology for their livelihoods.
“The initiative acknowledges the immense potential of drone technology in various sectors. Aligned with the vision of the Prime Minister, we are also dedicated to empowering Women Self Help Groups by promoting and supporting products crafted by them,” he added.
The minister said that this approach aims to make these groups financially independent, fostering economic autonomy in line with the broader goals of the initiative.
