PANAJI: Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Govind Gaude has said that the state government will not spare any efforts to ensure the best delivery of service for organising the 37th National Games in Goa.
He was speaking during an interaction with athletes and officials at Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi where the Archery discipline is being held.
Gaude inquired about the facilities, accommodation, and transportation for the athletes and officials. “I have interacted with the athletes, and they are happy with the infrastructure in Goa. The infrastructure is of top quality. We are not going to spare any efforts to give the best delivery in terms of organisation. The athletes are happy to be in the Goa. The sporting atmosphere that has been created across the state is at par with Olympic standards,” he said.
In the spirit of ‘Get, Set, Goa’, Gaude said the credit for the success of the Games goes to the entire team. “My team has given its best to organise these National Games.
The grassroots-level staff have been working tirelessly to make these Games a grand success. I also thank the director of competitions as well as athletes and the technical officials for their support and enthusiasm,” he added.
