PANAJI: The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress has intensified its organisational preparations with a State Executive Meeting focused on strengthening the party network, increasing youth participation and preparing for upcoming electoral challenges.
The meeting, attended by senior Congress leaders including Manikrao Thakare, Manish Sharma, Girish Chodankar, Carlos Ferreira, M.K. Sheikh and Youth Congress In-charge Swapnil Patil, discussed the political situation in Goa and strategies to expand the party’s reach.
The session began with a tribute to late Suraj Hegde, followed by a minute’s silence in his memory.
During the meeting, leaders stressed the need to strengthen the organisation at the booth level, connect with young voters and take up public issues related to employment, education, social justice and governance.
Youth Congress members were urged to play a larger role in grassroots mobilisation, voter outreach, digital campaigns and constituency-level activities.
The leadership called for unity, discipline and sustained public engagement, stating that a stronger youth organisation would be crucial in building the Congress base across Goa.
