MOPA: Mopa Airport Police station have registered a case against some locals for assaulting a person native of Odisha.
As per SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi on on Tuesday a FIR under sections 143, 147, 148, 341, 323, 324, 506 r/w 149 IPC, Upon the complaint of Shri Gobinda s/o Chemutu Gochhayat, Naibag Pernem Goa, Odisha, who complained that when he was proceeding to his rented room at above mentioned address with vehicle provided by security company and after reaching at near Varkhand cricket ground a group of people about 50 to 60 person blocked their way and further assaulted him and his colleagues namely 1. Santosh Salunke and 2.
Vijendra Singh was assaulted with beer bottles, fist blows and wooden sticks causing them bodily injuries.
The issue of the incident is that in the morning, the complainant assisted the police staff in booking a touting case of one of the taxi driver who was calling customer at Mopa Airport taxi parking area.
Further investigation is in progress with Mopa AirPort police station.
