BJP government’s claim of 10k jobs is nothing more than a Chunavi jumla. CM Sawant who has failed to provide even hundred jobs, now asking its departments to hire staff from GHRDC, which gives jobs on a contract basis without social protection. Ahead of elections, the state government is once again misleading young people in Goa in the name of employment, alleged AAP.
AAP Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre said,
“recently, the state government has asked all its departments autonomous bodies corporations and public sector undertakings to engage the services of multi tasking staff junior office assistant and personal assistant from the Goa Human Resources Development Corporation as per their requirements”.
“Unemployment has become the pressing issue in the state. Instead of creating jobs in the different sectors, CM Pramod Sawant chose to deliver fake promise, ahead of elections. Earlier, he had promised 10 k government jobs. After realising his failure at keeping his promise, he now asked its departments to hire staff from GHRDC”, he said.
“GHRDC is known for taking staff on contractual basis that too for longer duration without any perks or social security benefits and lower salary. Our youths are graduated with B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Com and M.Com. But, the government has failed at providing jobs according to their skills and needs. Unfortunately, these smart youngsters are applying for the security jobs, multitasking jobs for want of money”, he added.
He further said, “BJP and Congress, both parties failed at providing employment or developing entrepreneur mindset in the youngsters. Looking at the unemployment issue, AAP national Convenor and Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal had promised Skill University, unemployment allowance till a person gets employed, 80% reservation for locals in the private sector and one government job in each house. AAP is the only party that aims at making young Goans career ready”.
