PANAJI: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Amit Patkar today questioned TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane’s logic behind launching a personal email id to register complaints regarding land conversion when the government portal is available for the same.
“Vishwajit Rane, why private email id for filing complaints before TCP when Government Portal Email Id is available? Where is the transparency?” said Patkar on social media.
He further questioned Chief Minister Pramod Sawant whether he had handed over Goa to TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane.
“Why Private Email to file complaints at TCP? Goa is not somebody’s private Jaagir,” he added.
TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane yesterday said that he had received 35 complaints pertaining to various illegalities on day one of the launch of the email address.
“The people of Goa have shown great confidence in us; with just day one of the launch of our email address for reporting illegalities, we have received 35 complaints,” Rane claimed yesterday
He further said that the complaints received had been successfully forwarded to the respective departments (Town and Country Planning & Forest Department) by our office so that necessary action can be initiated.
