PANAJI: Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), in collaboration with Thomas Cook’s Nature Trails initiative, has announced the launch of a specially curated Hampi Tour from May 1, 2026, aimed at offering travellers an immersive journey into one of India’s most iconic heritage destinations.
The tour will take travellers to Hampi in North Karnataka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient temples, magnificent ruins, and the rich legacy of the Vijayanagara Empire.
According to GTDC, the specially designed cultural and experiential itinerary will include guided visits to iconic monuments and heritage sites, storytelling sessions, comfortable travel and accommodation, and expert-led insights into Hampi’s history, architecture, and local culture.
The initiative is part of GTDC’s broader efforts to expand its portfolio of experiential travel offerings and provide curated outbound tourism experiences beyond conventional holiday packages.
GTDC Chairman Kedar J Naik said the collaboration reflects the corporation’s commitment to offering diverse and high-quality travel experiences.
“The Hampi tour is designed for discerning travellers who seek more than just a holiday—it is for those who want to explore India’s cultural richness in a meaningful way. We have also ensured that the tour package is very cost effective so that maximum people can enjoy this experience,” he said.
Managing Director Kuldeep Arolkar stated that the initiative aligns with Goa Tourism’s vision of promoting meaningful and experience-driven tourism.
“This collaboration with Nature Trails by Thomas Cook allows us to offer a unique cultural journey that complements Goa’s own rich heritage,” he added.
GTDC said the curated tour also offers an opportunity for tourists staying in Goa to extend their visit and explore Hampi, while local Goans can avail the special package to discover the historic destination during their holidays.
Interested travellers can book the Hampi tour through GTDC’s official channels and partner platforms. Further details regarding itineraries, schedules, and pricing will be made available through GTDC offices.
