PILERNE: Porvorim Police today have arrested a Madhya Pradesh native for allegedly molesting and harrassing a 10 year old minor girl at Pilerne.
As per information, the accused has been identified as Jalam Mahor, age 52 years, r/o Lakkadkhana, Pan Patte ki Goth, Lashkar, Gird, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh
Police said that accused molested and sexually harassed the minor daughter of the complainant (aged 10 years) by touching her inappropriately and groping her breasts.
A case has been registered under CR No 90/2024 U/s 74, 75 of BNS, Sec 8 & 12 of POCSO Act & Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act on 06.05.2024 at 01.21 hrs upon the complaint of one lady age 25 years Pilerne, Candolim, North Goa n/o Nepal
After registering the case the Porvorim Police Acted swiftly and the accused Jalam Mahor s/o Ramdayal Mahor who is working as security guard has been detained and arrested in this case.
Further investigation is in progress with LPSI Laureen Sequeira under supervision of PI Porvorim Rahul T. Parab, SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe & SP North Akshat kaushal.
