MAPUSA: Wife of IRB Police Sub Inspector was grievously injured after she allegedly accidently pulled the trigger of his service revolver.
“The IRB PSI’s wife has been grievously injured.She is not in the position to give a statement,” said Police
The freak accident occurred yesterday night at their residence in Guirim.
The injured is identified as 24-year-old Gauri Dhanu Bogati. She is being treated at GMC Hospital.
Police also said that investigation is on in the incident.
In 2021, a four-year-old boy, the son of a head constable, accidentally shot himself with his father’s service gun.
The incident had taken place at their house in Bicholim around 11pm and that time Police have roped in a forensic team to collect evidence.
In the 2021 similar incident, on returning home from duty, Vaigankar had kept his bag on the table and gone to the bathroom when the child opened it and took out the gun, police had said.
