PANAJI: A day after Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant issued a strong warning to police on illegal massage parlours, Tourism Minister Rohan Kahunte demanded action against illegal clubs and dance bars.
“Goa Police promptly raids illegal massage parlours on our CMs cue to clean up shady businesses in the Tourism sector,” Khaunte said.
He added that the CM needs to take similar action against illegal clubs and dance bars.
“Similar action needed against unauthorised clubs & dance bars that swindle tourists and bring disrepute to Goa’s tourism industry,” he said.
On Monday, the Anjuna police, led by Mapusa DySP Jivba Dalvi, raided an illegal massage parlour and asked Dy Collector to seal the premises.
Earlier, CM has directed Calangute police to close all illegal businesses or else action would be initiated against the police inspector.
