CANACONA: Shri Sharadamba Krupa Komarpant Charitable Trust, a charitable organisation established in 2017 for the welfare and development of the Komarpant community and society at large, will organise “Teachers Meet-2026” at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on May 17.
The programme will feature discussions on the current education system, its advantages and challenges, along with the sharing of experiences and knowledge by teachers from the Samaj. Teachers belonging to the community will also be honoured and recognised during the event.
The programme will be coordinated by trustee Kiran Anklekar.
Prof. Jagadish Pujari, Professor of Information Science at SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad, will attend as the Chief Guest. Dr. Anuradha Naik, Principal of Baad College, will be the Guest of Honour, while Subhash Majalikar, President of KKS-Goa, will be the Special Guest.
The function will be presided over by trustee R. B. S. Komarpant, while trustee Marutidas V. Naik will serve as Chief Coordinator.
The Trust stated that since its inception, it has undertaken several social initiatives including medical camps, blood donation drives, yoga camps, Van Mahotsav activities, scholarships, financial assistance to the poor and needy, and other welfare programmes.
A souvenir will also be released on the occasion, informed Rajaram M. Naik, Secretary of the Trust.
