MARGAO: Fire engulfed a clothing store and pharmacy in the new Margao market.
Several fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire.
Fire and Emergency Services said that cause of fire is still not known and that no persons were injured due to the fire accident.
The loss estimated due to fire is expected to be lakhs of rupees and the loss estimate is yet to be done.
Leader of Opposition (LoP) Yuri Alemao said that
Margao Fire is another Warning Alarm of Ticking Bombs at various locations in Goa.
“It is high time that Government & Citizens realise danger that lies ahead & take corrective steps.Road Obstacles for Fire Brigades,Lack of Equipments to Fire Fighters once again came to fore today,” he added.
