FATORDA: Goa Forward Party (GFP) President and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai today termed the state government as shameless while stating that it is still deceiving Goans with lies and nonsense on the Mhadei issue.
“Shameless BJP govt still deceiving Goans with lies and nonsense. While Karnataka moves forward at the highest levels to appropriate Mhadei, Goa CM hasn’t even managed to get an audience with
PMO for an all-party delegation to present Goa’s case” said Vijai.
He further said that it was after his consistent, strong, interventions in previous Assembly sessions that a house committee was formed, but the Goa engine has become so impotent or subservient to their handlers that it was convened only once.
“Mhadei is sacred for every Goan, and promise them that this insensitive Govt will not get away with selling made,” he said.
Seeking the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving clearance to the Kalasa Bhandari Mhadei diversion project, Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah has submitted a detailed letter to the PM highlighting key demands and priorities for Karnataka’s development.
The letter has been submitted by Siddaramaiah after meeting Modi and discussing key issues concerning development and progress in Karnataka.
In the meeting, the Karnataka CM requested approval for important projects of the state like the Mekedatu dam project, Bhadra Upper Bank project and Kalasa Bhandari drinking water project.
