VERNA: Verna Police have registered a case of kidnapping after a mother reported that her minor daughter was taken away by an unknown person from her lawful guardianship at Quelossim.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on June 14, 2026, at around 8 a.m. at Quelossim, Cortalim, Mormugao, when the unknown accused allegedly kidnapped the minor girl. The mother subsequently lodged a complaint with the police.
A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace the missing girl and identify the accused.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prisly Carvalho of Verna Police Station.
