PANAJI: Old Goa Police have registered an offence against unknown persons following suspicion that a missing woman may have been abducted and secretly wrongfully confined in the Carambolim area.
The case was registered on August 11, 2026, at around 2.10 pm as Crime No. 104/2026 under Section 140(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), based on a complaint filed by 28-year-old Gulshan Kumar Shah, a ties fitter residing near Carambolim Panchayat, Tiswadi.
According to the complaint, the woman went missing on May 11, 2026, between 8.15 am and 7.15 pm from the residence concerned under Old Goa Police Station MPR No. 10/2026.
The woman could not be traced till date, prompting suspicion that unknown persons may have abducted her and secretly wrongfully confined her.
Police have registered the case against unknown accused persons and further investigation is underway.
